Ants, Bees and Wasps
(Insect Order Hymenoptera)
There are 14,780 of Hymenoptera order species in Australia which share the same unique Growing stages of metamorphosis (four distinct stages of growth – egg, lava, pupa and Adult)
We often underestimate the degree of importance of these particular insects in our ecosystem, due to the ability to naturally control plant pest species in our gardens, instinctively manage our spider populations and the extensive importance of pollination generally provided by bees.
On occasions however, there are times when these insects reside too close for comfort in and around our buildings, especially for people with anaphylaxis.
